Chairman – Matt Trigg
Matt is responsible for overseeing the general running of the orchestra and heading committee meetings. By day, he is a geospatial data scientist and a keen amateur singer. He played viola with both Lydian and KCYO in the 1980s and 90s.

Musical Director – Brynly Clarke
As the orchestra’s Musical Director, Brynly is regularly on the podium and has directed many courses and tours since 2011. He has worked professionally with choirs and orchestras in Belgium and Ireland and started out life as a professional bassoonist with the London Sinfonietta.

Orchestral Managers – William Stanger, Karson Lui, Rohan Chembalipuram and Millie Rees
The Managers are all current members of the orchestra, responsible for several administrative tasks. Most importantly, they help to ensure the general wellbeing of players. They act as a bridge between the committee and the orchestra, and are usually the first port of call for any questions players may have.

Will has played horn in Lydian since Winter 2021 and also enjoys singing. He has played in many local bands and orchestras and is currently doing Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Music A-levels with a view to study Maths at university.

Rohan joined Lydian in Spring 2024 and plays percussion. He is currently in Year 12 at The Judd School, studying Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Music, and plans to study Nuclear Engineering at university. He also plays with school ensembles and has an interest in music theory.
