For our wind players, this will be a fantastic opportunity to play with an ex-Lydian, just starting on his conducting career, who is principal horn of the Scottish Chamber Orchestra, teaches at Wells Cathedral School and is one of the youngest professors of horn at the Guildhall School of Music.  Not to mention, it will be brilliant to have Nelson as our soloist.  The strings will get Nelson all to themselves as the Finzi is scored for clarinet and string orchestra!  Everyone will come together for the Brahms Serenade.

We know many of you have exams looming, but rehearsals will not take place in the mornings, giving you plenty of time to revise and also come along to Lydian for a complete change of scene and a refresh of the brain cells.  Very important!!
